SWIM LEVELS
What level is my child?

BEGINNER LEVEL
This level is for new or nervous swimmers. We cover the basic skills: gentle water entry, kicking, breath control, face submersion, opening eyes underwater, blowing bubbles, and bobbing. Students gain confidence as they learn to put their face in the water, find their float, and jump in on their own. Swimmers advance when they can hold a streamline and pick up toys underwater with confidence.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
This level is for swimmers who can hold their breath underwater and swim short distances in a good streamline. We teach front and back floats, streamline glides, freestyle and backstroke basics, strong kicking, and how to roll from front to back and back to front.
Most children six and older start at this level because they are tall enough to stand in the shallow end.

ADVANCED LEVEL
This level is for swimmers who are comfortable in the shallow end but need confidence in the deep end. We work on strong kicking, stroke technique, and diving. The goal is to prepare swimmers for a local team or to build steady freestyle and backstroke skills at any depth.

SWIM TEAM STROKE WORK
This level is for swim team members or adult athletes who need stroke work. We focus on technique for freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke. Swimmers also practice flip turns, starts, IM transitions, bilateral breathing, and diving.
